Cleaning Proposalby Outscoped

Good, Better, Best pricing for cleaning proposals

Good, Better, Best pricing means offering up to 3 packages instead of one price. Good is the core scope, Better adds a weekly detail rotation, and Best adds periodic services. The client compares your packages instead of comparing you to other companies, and the conversation moves from "can you do it for less?" to "which one fits us?"

What goes in each package

Good

The full core scope every visit: trash, restrooms, breakroom, dusting, vacuuming and mopping.

Better (recommended)

Good plus a weekly detail rotation: high dusting, baseboards, door glass, wall spot-cleaning.

Best

Better plus periodic services built into the monthly price, like quarterly carpet extraction and hard-floor machine scrubbing.

Worked example

The Outscoped sample building, Lakeview Office Park, is 17,900 sq ft cleaned 5 nights a week. With default numbers its monthly cost is $3,049. The packages are that cost times a set number for each tier, rounded up to the next $5:

PackageMathMonthly price
Good$3,049 x 1.08$3,295
Better$3,049 x 1.189$3,625
Best$3,049 x 1.274$3,885

Tips

Common questions

What is Good, Better, Best pricing?
Instead of one price, you offer up to 3 packages. Good is the core scope, Better adds more service (like a weekly detail rotation), and Best adds periodic work (like carpet extraction or floor scrubbing). The client picks the one that fits.
Why do three options win more cleaning bids?
With one price, the client's only move is to ask for less. With three, they compare your packages to each other and often choose more service. Marking the middle option as recommended helps them decide.
How far apart should the three prices be?
Far enough that each step adds visible value. In the Outscoped worked example the steps are $3,295, $3,625 and $3,885 a month for a 17,900 sq ft office. See the pricing guide.
